Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Fulham

Man with Van Fulham is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical and responsible manner. We recognise that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation are serious crimes and human rights abuses. This statement sets out the steps we take to identify, prevent and address modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chains.

Our Zero-Tolerance Approach

We operate a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. This applies to our own activities and to everyone we work with, including contractors, labour providers, logistics partners and any other suppliers. We expect our people and our business partners to share this commitment and to act in accordance with our standards at all times.

Any involvement in modern slavery, whether direct or indirect, is incompatible with working for or with Man with Van Fulham. Where credible concerns are identified, we will take prompt and decisive action, which may include termination of contracts, reporting concerns to relevant authorities and supporting any subsequent investigations.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Fulham provides local and regional removals and transport services. Our supply chains include vehicle leasing and maintenance, fuel providers, equipment suppliers, subcontracted drivers and other service providers. We recognise that elements of our sector can be vulnerable to labour exploitation, particularly where third-party labour is used or subcontracting chains are complex.

We are committed to understanding these risks and focusing our prevention efforts where they are most needed, including in the selection and ongoing management of our suppliers and subcontractors.

Supplier Standards and Due Diligence

We require our suppliers and subcontractors to operate in full compliance with applicable labour, employment and human rights laws. As part of our due diligence, we assess new suppliers for indicators of modern slavery risk and reserve the right to decline to work with any party that does not meet our expectations.

We are developing and refining our supplier onboarding processes to ensure that contractual terms reflect our zero-tolerance stance and clearly set out expectations on responsible recruitment, fair pay, working hours and freedom of movement. We expect suppliers to hold their own supply chains to equivalent standards.

Supplier Audits and Monitoring

To support ongoing compliance, we undertake proportionate supplier audits and monitoring activities. These may include review of employment practices, verification of right-to-work documentation processes, checks on the use of subcontracted labour and discussions with management regarding policies and training.

Where appropriate, we will conduct site visits or request supporting evidence to confirm that suppliers do not tolerate forced labour or exploitative conditions. If any non-compliance or serious concern is identified, we will work with the supplier to implement corrective actions within a clear timeframe. If satisfactory improvement is not achieved, we will consider suspension or termination of the relationship.

Reporting Channels and Raising Concerns

We encourage all employees, agency workers, subcontractors and others working within our operations or supply chains to speak up if they have any concerns about potential modern slavery or human rights abuses. Concerns can be raised directly with line managers, senior management or designated contacts within the business.

Reports will be treated seriously, handled sensitively and, where possible, confidentially. We do not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith. All allegations will be investigated, and appropriate steps will be taken where issues are substantiated, including notifying relevant authorities where required.

Training and Awareness

We are committed to building awareness of modern slavery risks among our workforce. Managers and staff involved in recruitment, supplier selection or contract management are informed about indicators of exploitation and how to respond to concerns. We aim to strengthen this training over time to ensure that modern slavery risks are recognised and addressed at an early stage.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

Man with Van Fulham recognises that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. We are committed to continually improving our processes in line with evolving best practice, regulatory requirements and the specific risks within our sector.

This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least annually by our management team. As part of the review, we will assess the effectiveness of our due diligence, audits, reporting channels and training, and update our approach where necessary. The updated statement will reflect any significant changes to our operations or risk profile.

This statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Fulham and represents our current position on preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
